Professionally designed/built recording studio located in the North Park area of San Diego, CA. Designed by Wes Lachot (www.weslachot.com). Total size is 765 sqft, split about evenly between Control Room and Live Room. Also features two small sound locks that can be used as amp (or possibly vocal) isolation booths. Control room features Dynaudio M3A soffit mounted mains powered by Bryston amps/crossovers, Focal Solo 6 Be's, Avantone Active MixCubes, a Toft ATB 32 mixing board, Apogee and Burl Converters, an MCI 2" 16 track tape machine (refurbished by Chris Mara), and tons of outboard mic pre's, compressors, eq's, etc. from manufacturers such as Universal Audio, Neve, API, Chandler Limited, Shadow Hills, and Emperical Labs.
The Live Room features a window wall and two walls with "bi-fussors" (reversible panels, reflective on one side, absorptive on the other).
Instruments include: a Boston Baby Grand Piano, a Hammond B2 with percussion upgrade (no Leslie), a Rhodes, a Wurlitzer, a Farfisa, a Vibraphone, a Marimba, a Premier drum kit with Zildjian and Paiste cymbals and Slingerland snare, many electric and acoustic guitars, two electric basses, analog and digital keyboards, and several amps from the likes of Fender, Ampeg, and Traynor.
The studio also features two lovely outdoor spaces and a lounge with a full bath, kitchenette, flat screen TV, and old school video games (Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis, and Atari).
Free Wi-Fi, free coffee/tea, Air-Conditioning, plenty of street parking, and easy alley access for load in/out.
